She comes from a musical family; her father, Hari Bahadur Raut, is a renowned folk singer, which significantly influenced her interest in music from a young age. Astha gained popularity with her first hit song, a remix of “Saal Ko Paata Tapari” from the album “Addiction 2”.
Astha’s second song, “Maya Yo Maya” (माया यो माया), featured in the movie Maya’s Bar, marked a significant milestone in her career. The song’s success brought her into the limelight and established her as a rising star in the Nepali music industry.
In 2013, her album Aadhar was released, containing two of her most popular songs, “Chaubandi Ma Patuki” and “Jhumke Bulaki.” These songs were released on Asad 17, 2070 (B.S.), and quickly became superhits, cementing her status as a leading female vocalist in Nepal.
